Was amassing a list of cons for this year, with hopes of catching at least a couple of them, here they are by date:
MegaCon- Orlando, FL Feb 16-18
$20 one day, $45 weekend, 1/2 table $50
I missed getting a table, they sold out. Will likely only be attending for Saturday. Still a fun con since its the only mixed genre one I go to.
FreeCon- Tallahassee, FL April 6-8
free, ?? tables
This is a small con at FSU that started back when I was a student. I may go depending on how many dealers they have and if its gotten much bigger.
JaCon- Orlando, FL May 4-6
$30, partial table $20
Thinking of getting a table for the weekend this year, I havn't attended before. I may only go for Sat-Sun so I don't have to take a day off work.
MetroCon- Tampa, FL July 6-8
?? registration, probably $75 again for table (ouchies)
I'll probably do a table there again even though this is one of the pricier cons.
Otakon- Baltimore, MD July 20-22
?? info not up yet
I actually really kind of want to go, though I won't do artist alley table (other than maybe to mooch a bit of space for a short while if I have friends who go.) Gaia is getting an even bigger presence and if I go I will mostly be working their table/events. My concerns are 1. I need to know I'll have a hotel room, i.e. can find someone who will share because a room to myself is too pricey, and 2. if so, I need to check airfare prices to see if its even in my budget, cause that's way too far to drive
EDIT: looked up tickets, looks like its going to be about $200. Is it worth it?
AFO- Anime Festival Orlando- Orlando, FL August 3-5
?? registration
Not sure if I'll go to this one, seems like a pretty small con more focused on showing anime though I may be mistaken. Its pretty soon after Metro and Otakon though so just too many cons in a short space of time.
AWA- Anime Weekend Atlanta- Atlanta, GA September 21-23
$45 weekend, less with pre-reg, ?? table
The drive was borderline my limit, but I think its worth going to again. I'd also have to rent a car again, so I have to factor that in. I didn't realize they were one of the top 10 cons in the US for size.
And that should be all of them. I should maybe look into DragonCon but I don't know. At least they're more spaced out this year a bit, I seem to recall last year a couple main ones being closer together.
I'm going to have to get into gear with table stuff again, I havn't really had any new ideas for things lately and I think what I have is going to start to get old and not sell as well.

Especially if you're gonna be working at a table, I may be able to bring extra cash and I will definitely support you or whomever you're assisting.
